- Prior to my Pin being Pulled I used to think there was some value in sanctimoniously graveling about my unworthiness. If I bought a friend a very expensive gift, and they went on and on about their unworthiness or even did some “good works” as a gesture – the cost to me doesn’t change.
- Personally, I consider a $200 pair of shoes expensive, to a millionaire even a $2000 pair of shoes would not dent their account, however, I’ve heard it described many times that God bankrupted heaven with the price of His Son to reconcile us to Himself. The word “cheap” and “Grace” should never be used in the same sentence.
- I think I may understand what some people mean when they say “cheap grace” but I’m not sure “they” understand. If I act like my “good” behavior can offset the cost Jesus paid at the cross, it’s like literally applying pennies to a trillion-dollar debt. Since my Pin was Pulled, every time I remember the depth and cost of His Love, cheating the “system” never enters my mind.
