• Religion is vague, grace is crystal clear. The gospel is simply the good news that Jesus (Grace & Truth) came to save us from sin and death so we could live for eternity in God’s kingdom as His righteous children. The Truth is so simple, that’s why the author of confusion uses religion to complicate and twist it.
• Religion robs us of intimacy with Christ. It refuses the gift of grace and prostitutes Jesus’ love. Yes, it’s that horrendous to fall from Grace by returning to the law. I along with so many other Christians have been serial cheaters on Jesus. I’ve often gone back to the law like some old fling that should have ended the moment I accepted Jesus’ proposal of Life.
• To know that God is supremely patient and always ready for me to come back into His presence is ridiculously humbling. To better understand the fullness of Grace fills me with wonder and gratitude. It emboldens me to step out in faith and to trust God with my whole life openly and honestly. There is no more fear between me and My Love. He’s washed me clean of death; I am a new creation taking part in the greatest love story.
