  • God’s word is final. The only thing that defines me is The Creator. Jesus gave me my righteousness by finishing my sin debt. I am right with God regardless of how I feel.
  • My behavior or circumstances have diddly to do with my identity in Jesus. A butterfly can land on a pile of garbage, it doesn’t become garbage. (Word picture taken from Joseph Prince’s Destined to Reign)
  • The way I honor God is by resting in Jesus’ finished work and accepting my righteousness. I spend time with God more now that I don’t believe He’s angry with me. How much further will our relationship go now that fear is no longer a factor? (1 John 4:18)
