• We need to understand our place. We are not the judge. We were on trial and Jesus stepped in and represented us. We’re all complete in Christ, so why do we compete? We’re either dead in bondage or free and alive in Christ – we can’t measure aliveness or freedom, it simply is or it is not.
• Grace is the current that draws me to Christ. After I’ve exhausted myself or less often chosen to stop rowing, I’m swept up in His overwhelming lovingkindness. Grace always brings me to where I need to be.
• I need to not concern myself when I encounter people white-knuckling their pride by a misunderstanding of grace. Because once you know, you know. You might forget the truth, but it doesn’t change. You might not know the truth, but it still is. The revelation is just as much a gift as salvation. The devil wants me to be a grace snob. I’ll just love them like Jesus – The Holy Spirit sorts out the rest.
