Have you ever gone to a garage sale hoping to find a bargain? To the untrained eye, much of the stuff looks like junk. Some of It may even be dusty or dirty from being in somebody’s attic or garage. But to the trained eye, well they see a treasure in disguise. Something that just needs to be cleaned, polished, and cared for. That’s what God does with us. When the enemy tells you you’re worthless, God sees a hidden treasure.
When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, He helps you to overcome your past, conquer bad habits, rise above your self-imposed limitations, and realize that in God’s eyes, you have great worth. You actually start believing what He said: “You are precious…in my sight.” The truth is when you keep putting yourself down, you tend to gravitate toward people who do the same. Once you begin to see the value God places on you, your entire outlook changes.
See with God, you can’t lose.
Even when you stumble, He will help you to get back up, you’ll become stronger, wiser, and move on to victory. When you see yourself only as somebody who makes mistakes and falls short, you’re looking in the wrong mirror. When you start to see yourself in the mirror of God’s Word, you see someone who is being transformed day by day into the likeness of Jesus
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. ” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV)
And that’s how God sees you today. No matter what circumstances you’re in, no matter what you’ve done. He sees you as his treasure! He loves you just the way you are!
