• I’ve been guilty of slipping into the Martha mindset. I want to be a good daughter, wife, and hostess so I must do “x y z.” Then by the grace of God, I’ll remember to focus on the One thing that matters as Mary did at the feet of Jesus.
• The difference in the quality of the work that gets done after I’ve been filled with The Word is unmatched to my best self-effort. On my best days without God, my hair is falling out and I’ve got a migraine. On any day with God, grace supplies everything needed.
• Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself. If you get alone before Jesus, you’ll surely fall in love with Grace and Truth. The tasks will get done, but you won’t become undone. The finished work of Jesus always provides.
